Who am I?
Hi, I'm BaoKhanh, but you can call me BK!
I come from Vietnam, a small country in Asia. After earning my degree in regional and urban planning and working in the field for over a year, my husband and I decided to move to the United States to start a new chapter in our lives. The transition wasn't easy. I struggled to find ways to make additional income, especially since my qualifications in urban planning didn't transfer over easily. It felt like every opportunity was just out of reach. However, life took a surprising turn when I met a friend who had taken UX/UI courses and thrived in the field. Her advice was invaluable and sparked my interest in UX/UI design. I quickly realized that my background in urban planning gave me a strong foundation for UX/UI design. I love being creative, organized, and logical, and I have a strong appreciation for color and design tools. Because of this, I believe I can thrive and grow in this field.
My excitement for UX/UI design has only grown with each new project. There's something incredibly rewarding about solving user problems through design. It's amazing to be able to help others and bring a bit of happiness into their lives.
In a year, I hope to have a stable job in UX/UI design, working in a dynamic and energetic environment. These are my dreams, and I remind myself every day to keep pushing forward. I know that with steady effort, I'll be able to look back and see just how far I've come.
