Point of view:
I would like to help casual sneaker buyers stay updated on sneaker releases, to make sure they never miss out on exclusive drops because many casual buyers do not actively track releases and only look for sneakers when they need them.
I would like to help sneakerheads track price trends and resale insights, to help them make smarter buying and selling decisions because they often need more visibility into market trends before committing to a purchase.
I would like to help sneakerheads avoid bots in the raffle process, to ensure fairer opportunities to win because many users feel frustrated with the prevalence of bots ruining their chances in sneaker raffles.
I would like to help users with a faster and more intuitive checkout process, to make sneaker purchasing easier and quicker because slow and complicated checkouts are a common pain point for both casual buyers and sneakerheads.
I would like to help sneakerheads, resellers, and casual buyers engage in a sneaker community, to connect with others who share the same passion because they are often looking for insider tips and expert advice but do not have a platform to exchange information.
I would like to help sneakerheads organize and display their sneaker collections in a digital closet, to keep track of their shoes and share them with the community because sneakerheads value their collections and want to display them but struggle to do so in a cohesive way.
How might we:
How might we help casual sneaker buyers easily stay informed about upcoming sneaker releases without requiring them to actively track every release?
How might we make it easier for sneakerheads to track sneaker prices and trends, helping them decide when to buy or sell?
How might we reduce the impact of bots on sneaker raffles, creating a fairer process for users trying to secure limited-edition sneakers?
How might we create a more efficient and personalized checkout process to make purchasing sneakers smoother for all types of buyers?
How might we build a sneaker community where users can share tips, trends, and experiences to help each other?
How might we help sneakerheads showcase their collections and keep track of their sneakers in a digital closet?
UX Design
Prioritization
Prioritizing features
User flows
Low - fidelity Wireframes
After mapping out the primary user flows, I thoroughly explored a range of organizational apps to study different design patterns for inspiration. From there, I created a low-fidelity wireframe in Figma, refining it through several iterations of key screens to fully express and realize my conceptual ideas.
UI Design
UI component library
Before moving on to the next stage of the design process, I created a UI kit. By taking the time to develop elements that are as close to pixel-perfect as possible, high-fidelity prototyping becomes much easier. The UI kit also has the added benefit of aiding in the creation of a proper design system!
